Gundog Training and the breeding/development of quality English Setters
Meet Barratt Gorshe , owner/operator of Homefield Training and Kennels.
Barratt’s dog addiction began at just six years old when he was given a beagle pup by his parents. Ever since then, Barratt has always had dogs (other than a brief period in high school when basketball took up all his time).
Barratt's senior year of high school everything changed when a young dog named Sherlock entered his life. Barratt worked tirelessly ,day and night, even missing school in order to attend field trials or go hunting with Sherlock. That dog would take him all across the western United States traveling to Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Wyoming, and Montana – all in the name of running bird dogs. Along with being an avid wild bird enthusiast (running his dogs on them from August-March) Barratt is also a very serious NSTRA field trialer. Championing the first dog he ever competed with, and mentoring several new handlers to their first placements, Barratt knows what it takes to win and would love to help your dog win as well!

It is the owners responsibility to get your dog to and from the HomeField Training and Kennels facility. Special arrangements can be made as we travel across various western states quite frequently. Please plan accordingly to see if we can make something work as far as a more convenient pick up/drop off.
Payment for a private training session is due when the appointment is made. Any appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled session will result in loss of the $50 payment.
It is in the best interest of dogs left for board and train programs to stay in training the entire duration of the board and train program. Going home on weekends, or taking the dog away for personal trips is not recommended as it can set back the training.
Food will need to be provided by the owner on the day of drop off. If your canine companion is staying for an extended period of time please accordingly in supplying food for your dog(s).
Payment for boarding or board and train programs are due at the time of drop off.
